MEET KP GEORGE
Judge George has a proven track record of working for the people to turn bold ideas into real results. He was overwhelmingly elected to office by the voters as Fort Bend County Judge in 2018 and won re-election in 2022.
Judge George led us successfully through numerous flooding incidents, the COVID-19 pandemic, Winter Storm Uri and electric grid failure, droughts, and other major emergencies to emerge stronger and more united than before. His leadership has brought thousands of good paying jobs to Fort Bend, made historic investments to our Public Safety & Emergency Management programs, and fought traffic congestion for all of our residents. ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Passed historic mid-decade redistricting to restore fairness to Fort Bend County. Judge George fought for Commissioners Court to reflect the makeup of Fort Bend County.
- Created a Grants Manager position and secured over $600 Million in federal, state, local and private grants to support infrastructure, mobility, economic development and law enforcement projects with no additional expense to taxpayers.
- Passed common-sense budgets with NO tax-rate increase since taking office in 2019.
- Voted against the latest budget due to a $39 Million deficit. Judge George believes that the county must live within its means just as Fort Bend residents must do in their own households.
